Prey (2022) features Amber Midthunder as a captivating character. Her animal friend is an added bonus, raising the stakes. Her repeated survival efforts are entertaining to see, but the action is much better. In this picture, the Predator is at full force. You anticipate amazing kills, but the sheer number of kills is astounding. While the apparent cgi blood may be annoying at times but it does have its positive aspects and is low-budget. Although I would prefer to see things as they are in the original language it isn’t something that worries me. Plausibility is another issue. Certain events will leave you scratching your head, but they are so rare and infrequent that it isn't a big concern. (posted) There are some pauses in the action, but once the story is back on track, there are no more. Next time, let us welcome Trachtenberg back to the fold and give him theatrical release. This is a film made to be seen on the big screen, and some of the killings would have worked better on the big screen. I love it, and am excited to see it again.
